MEET DR. ASHLEY
Ashley Barandiaran is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a Licensed Acupuncturist, and Board Certified Chinese Herbalist. Graduating from her hometown of San Diego with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine & Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
She was introduced to alternative medicine at a young age, and it inspired her to do something within the field. She was led to acupuncture after a personal experience with a neck injury. She saw the quality of care that acupuncture offered and its ability to integrate both Eastern and Western medicine. She feels that it genuinely treats all aspects required for healing body, mind, and spirit.
With 3,500+ hours of clinical experience, she worked with Rady Children’s hospital, Veterans Clinic, San Diego Herbal Pharmacy, Integrative Health Solutions and volunteered as a student acupuncturist in The Dominican Republic for Global Clinic.
Ashley has specialized in the treatment of pain management, reproductive health, stress and mental-emotional related conditions. Ashley also treats many other conditions such as: digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, cosmetic acupuncture, auto-immune, and inflammatory disorders. Working alongside naturopathic medical doctors, physical therapists, and registered nurses has taught Ashley how to integrate Western and Eastern Medicine into her practice.
Ashley loves being an acupuncturist because it is a preventative health modality that works to treat current medical needs naturally, safely, and effectively. She loves to empower her patients and also acts as a conduit for their healing journey. She finds it very rewarding to provide quality care by integrating Western science with Traditional Chinese Medicine, adapting a 3000-year-old medicine to current medical needs.
When she isn’t treating patients, Ashley enjoys being active and outdoors. She loves to travel, camp, do Pilates, go to live music events and dance. Being a third-generation San Diegan, she also enjoys being involved in the community and volunteering.
